HESTIM Engineering and Business School has today become the first partner of the EUROSCI Network in Africa and the 18th globally. HESTIM is a small engineering and business school in the Moroccan city of Casablanca, where it atracts students from all over Africa. HESTIM students from Togo, Burkina Faso, Gabon, Senegal, Ivory Coast, and Congo, have been taking a EUROSCI Network course since October. Information of local interest will be found at the newly created website eurosci.hestim.ma.
Cristina Gomez-Roman, assistant professor of social psychology at Universidade de Santiago de Compostela, has joined the EUROSCI Network. The EUROSCI Network encourages interdisciplinary collaboration, and the field of social psychology will become a new priority for the Network. Founded in 1495, USC is also one of the oldest and most prestigeous universities in Spain.
A group of students from HESTIM Engineering and Business school in Casablanca joined EUROSCI Network's course on the EU and emerging markets. The group had students from Morocco and other African countries such as Burkina Faso, Senegal, Togo, Ivory Coast, and Gabon.
Prof. Christian Kaunert, an expert in European security, has just joined the EUROSCI Network and his university, the University of South Wales, has become a partner.
The mission is funded by a EUROSCI Network travel grant as part of the Global Outreach Commission, the EUROSCI Network's global outreach initiative. Local support is provided by EUROSCI Network volunteers in the region.
