I am assistant professor in the department of architecture of Universidade da Coruña, where I teach courses in introduction to architecture, heritage conservation, cultural landscape, and artistic expression. I have a degree in architecture, a master's in urban planning, and a PhD from Universidade da Coruña, with a thesis on the recovery of modernity in Galician architecture. I was a visiting lecturer at Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen (United Kingdom), at Universidade do Minho (Portugal), and at Università degli Studi di Roma La Sapienza (Italy). I am the director of a research project on History of the restoration and enhancement of architectural heritage in Galicia, with a grant from the local administration of A Coruña in 2007. I was an editor of Boletín Académico. Journal of research in contemporary architecture. I am a member of the research group on history of architecture at Universidade da Coruña and of the scientific network on Urbanism of European Dictatorships during the XXth Century. My research has been presented at national and international seminars and conferences, and has been published in books and journals.
