About the University:
Born in 1495, Universidade de Santiago de Compostela is a public university located in Galicia, Spain. Its over five hundred years of history make it the sixth oldest university in the country and one of the oldest in Europe. The university has over 23 thousand students and 1,700 academic staff distributed among its campuses in Santiago de Compostela and Lugo. Its research output is also rated as very high relative to its size by QS World University Rankings, which rate it among the world's top 700 in the world.
